Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA)

Presentation of the Organization

The GRCA manages water and other natural resources on behalf of 39 municipalities and close to one million residents. Its vision is a healthy and sustainable natural environment in the Grand River watershed.

The Grand covers an area of almost 7,000 km2, stretching 280 km from Dundalk in the north to Port Maitland on Lake Erie. In addition to the main Grand River, the watershed includes major tributaries (or sub-watersheds) such as the Conestogo, Nith, Speed and Eramosa rivers, as well as numerous smaller feeder creeks and streams.
